Last year we were on a road trip in southern France starting in Bordeaux to stay a few days in Biarritz, which I happily return to on day. We had a goal in mind which took us through the Pyrenees and the Col du Tourmalet (classic Tour de France stage). In order to subsequently reach the goal in Nice where we spent one week. This was to see if Nice was the place to drop anchor for future weekend trips and holiday weeks.
After a week and a number of impromptu meetings with brokers in Nice, we decided this is good, really good. Nice has a bit of everything as town, beach nightlife, and just a few hours flight depends on if we travel from Paris, Stockholm or where ever we are at the moment which is most of the time somewhere in Europe.
In the fall, we were on a few visits to find the right apartment and just after Christmas we signed all papers. During the spring the apartment has undergone a total renovation but with so much of the original charm intact. The apartment is from the early 1900s and built in the so-called Art Deco style, which we obviously have kept and bred as far as it goes.
We got the keys to the finished newly renovated apartment in the middle of June. We had during the spring decided that we should not keep this totally for ourselves. It was designed from day one to be rented out. We wanted that more than us could experience Nice as it should, that is, in authentic Art Deco spirit. Too many apartments in Nice renovated apart and becomes somewhat soulless which we have done everything to avoid.
Are you curious about Nice and want to create some unforgettable memories with your loved ones or friends, this bout as happy an eye on our apartment either at Air BnB or our own website for Nizza la Bella. We have of course a collection of pictures on our site which will give you an idea of what to expect from Nizza la Bella.
